Who The Hell Is Zac Graham?

Look, you already know I’m a wedding and elopement photographer with a camera in one hand and a frothy beer in the other.

Based in Newcastle, NSW, serving the Hunter Valley and galaxies beyond.

Yes, I love documenting (and living vicariously through) all your happy moments and capturing the real stuff.

…like every other photographer out there.

Wanna Chat?

Really, you’re here to find out if you dig my style, whether we vibe, and hopefully get to know the rando who’s gonna invite himself to one of the most intimate days of your life. Am I right or ammiright?!

So, I’ll keep it real simple.

I’m Zac and I do this full-time. Serious about it too, just like that mugshot of young Zac (that might as well be on the back of a milk carton.)

It’s kinda surreal.

Grateful for you :)

Travel Back In Time With Me (And Batman)

I was born in England, proper Devonshire lad.

My family moved to Fiji when I was a kid, where I spent 3 years as a little island boy. I wore Sulu's, grated my own coconuts and had little regard for footwear or cutlery.

We then moved to Australia when I was 6, where I basically grew up living at the beach. I learnt to surf, and my biggest flex is that one time Kelly Slater pushed me on a wave!

I've always been obsessed with soccer (avid Man Utd fan).I like the photo across because I'm kicking the ball at some kids head.

Oh, and yeah, let's not forget this one time I spent a whole damn year dressed as Batman.

I was lucky enough to spend most of my 20's travelling around the world.
After school, I finished my apprenticeship as an electrician, which gave me the freedom to go away for a while, come back and work and then take off again. So I did, over and over! I backpacked through South & Central America, worked snow seasons in Canada, road tripped through the US and lived in a van in Europe.

This is where my love for photography came from, I bought a pro dslr before my trip to Europe and fell madly in love with the landscapes and the architecture.

I have too many hobbies to count, but of all of them, snowboarding might be my favourite. I lived on a mountain in Canada for 3 years where I was lucky enough ride out of my front door every day.

I worked there as an ice climbing instructor, with absolutely no climbing experience myself. Safety first!

These days, I'm happiest when I'm cruising around in my van with my girlfriend Jess. Enjoying the small things, living simply and free! We're as goofy as each other, and there's never a dull moment.

I've got more hobbies than you can poke a stick at. Surfing, snowboarding, hiking, drawing, photography.

But really I just love to be out exploring nature and the world around us. It doesn't matter if it's swimming under a waterfall, baking on a beach or climbing a mountain, you'll find me there! Always with a camera in one hand a beer in the other!

Earth To Zac,

Let's Snap To It.

Really though, it is absolutely surreal to reflect on the fact that I’ve always wanted to make a life and career out of my passion for photography.

Sometimes it feels like a dream…except I’m wide awake. And it’s bloody amazing!!

What’s even better is that I’m not snapping random, meaningless bits and bobs. Every wedding, every elopement and every story is a deep honour.

To hang out with awesome people (just like you), enjoy good banter, and have lots of laughs. To document those meaningful moments, curate art from your memories, and feel like I’m a part of your family even if it’s just for a day.

Followed by sitting in my van at the beach or in the bush, beer in hand and listening to tunes while I edit your ridiculously beautiful photos.

I couldn’t ask for more.

Young mugshot Zac couldn’t ask for more either.

So, again, thank you for allowing me to live my dream and to *hopefully* soon be a part of yours too.

Cheers,
Zac

P.S. Now that you’ve enjoyed a complete rundown of my life story, it’s your turn.
